Dr. Ode,
This is a picture that was taken shortly before I, along with my fellow musicians from Trinity, traveled to New Orleans to participate in the World Orchestra at the World’s Fair. That experience, along with countless others, was made possible because of you. It was because of your encouragement and help that I chose Trinity and it opened doors to so many opportunities and relationships. Your guidance as a professor of music history as well as brass methods helped me to become the music teacher that I am today. So for that I want to thank you and wish you the happiest of birthdays.
